Lukas Goller is a visionary hippie with a thick german accent who has dedicated a big part of his life to snowboarding and the mountains. His brain is a volcano of ideas and his bohemian attitude makes him have a sensitive and focused point of view on the most different aspects of reality.
His sober madness, in contrast with the rationality and the experience of the long time designer/skater/snowboarder Andrea Vecchi has created the the new fw11-12 snowear collection signed by bastard: an orgy of essential lines, functional designs and revolutionary ideas.
The new RandomVideo teaser came out on time as usual. Randomite, this is the name of the video, will be out in fall 2011 featuring the videoparts of Whatza and Lukas Goller.
What a pleasure for me to see Lukas jumping with the Salmon board we gave him last winter for a test, it seems to work very good!
How many things does Lukas Goller have to juggle for soothing his visionary madness?
Way too many, but never enough.
Snowboarding is not enough, drawing is not enough, and not even designing snowboard apparel seems to be enough now.
In order to compensate for his madness disguised as genius good ol’ Lukas had to dive into another project, the making of the Whileitlast, whichis a temporary skatepark in the Innsbruck area, built out of recycled materials.
Take a look at whileitlasts and learn the lesson: with little you can do a lot.
The guys at Random Video spend most of the year closely with Lukas and Watza. I assume they spend more time with them than with their girlfriends.
At the end of the year everything summarizes in a three minute videopart, that are often not enough to tell the whole story.
This is why Random adds the “Random Presents” clips: 45 seconds with the riders featured in Too Much Too Serious. Here’s the clip dedicated to Lukas Goller.

Matteo Borgardt, a.k.a. Whatza, back from his spiritual trip around India, just came by to say what’s up. He showed up with Alessandro Miniotti, a.k.a. Killer, deus ex machina of Random Video.
Killer gave us the last few copies available of Too Much Too Serious, italian snowboard movie produced by Random Video, with two terrific videoparts by Whatza and Lukas Goller along with Tato Chiala, Lorenzo Barbieri and Filippo Kratter, just to mention a few. If you didn’t see yet come to the bastard store to grab your own copy, it comes for free with the november issue of Sequence.
As a reward, we gave Killer a brand new Degree jacket so that he can stay warm and protected during the filming sessions for the next video.
Among his great inventions, the closet pocket in the Goja jacket, in which you can store pretty much all you need in the mountains.
Lukas is a snowboarder, designer and visionaire. He might not have superpowers, but once you get to know him, he’ll look like a superhero to you. He already is in our eyes.

Finally a good metal teaser; whose idea was it? The idea was mine as i felt the need of refreshing the style a bit. The actual soundtrack will vary and include many genres so that it doesn’t get boring.
The title you chose doesn’t actually mean much, it feels like Luks Goller a little bit, true or false? Yes Lukas did play an influence, how’d you guess (ironic)?
You work side by side with both Lukas and Matteo Borgardt, how’d they behave last winter? With Matteo i have work, lived and enjoyed life for 3 years now. He’s a key element within many choices that involve Random. I’ve known Lukas for longer but onlyt during the last 2 seasons we got closer and got to know each other better. They both showed great passion for the Random project, not only as riders, and i’m thankful for that. Aside from little episodes, I can safely state they did behave! :)
Argentera is often described as heaven for riders and filmers: it’s the spot you filmed the most, right? Argentera is an awesome place, one chairlift and new powder every week. It’s not easy to reach and there’s not many comforts up there but it’s paradise for those who love the mountains raw and uncut.
So now a little vacation and then back to work for closing this project? When will it premiere? Yeah, now a short break is deserved. And then like you said back to work for finishing the video that will premiere at the Skipass in Modena. We’re also organizing a synchronized premiere at all the surfshops that are interested. Will announce dates and places asap!
LikeMilk has recently published the videoparts from GimmeSome, the Random video project of the winter 2010.
Waiting for the next videopart coming in the winter, we can now enjoy these three minutes full of pillows, cliffs and smooth landings with the signature Lukas Goller flow.
«Hi Lukas, what’s going on?» «Gut! I just left Innsbruck, I am going to Argentera! It’s fa-antastik!»
Phone calls between me and Lukas Goller during this past winter would almost always start off like that.
Argentera is a small village counting 93 residents, near Cuneo. Lukas got so much into it he spent most of the last filming season there, as he was shooting for Random Video.
In the photo above, taken by Denis Piccolo and published on Sequence Snowboarding #25, we can peep a little preview of what’s gonna show next season.
On Entry snowboard magazine #31 you can read a nice interview of Lukas Goller. For once, snowboarding gets left apart in order to explore his artistic attitude.
First of all Lukas is a free minded person who tries to express himself through ways he likes. In fact this three pages interview is more about his way of seeing art than about snowboarding.
Lukas collaborated to the designing of the outerwear for next winter introducing notable innovations. He’s also the author of the “Lubert” graphic, shown here below, for the next bastard collection, Fw 2010, in stores in September.
